The clock-maker William Robertson is listed in 'Old Scottish Clockmakers' by John Smith - working from 1830. The arched hood has full , fluted and brass reeded columns with brass Corinthian capitals .This clock of small proportions runs for a week on a single wind and will strike the hour on a bell .The movement is typical of high quality Scottish clockmaking, with a Deadbeat escapement and maintaining power.
